5th Series – Land/Water Quad

58 Dogs Started this Series

Test Dogs started out this series on Tuesday morning at 7:31 am, beginning with "Valley," handled by Joel Bodenman and then "Gauge," handled by Julie Cole. Wednesday morning there was a single test dog ran, "Gauge," at 7:33 am and then the test resumed.

The first running dog of this series was #14 FC-AFC BAYOU TECHE EXPRESS, “Ryan,” with handler Lauren Hays. They came to the line at 8:06 am on Tuesday morning.

The weather at the start of this series was warm with sunny skies and little to no breeze. Temps heated up into the 90s on Tuesday with a heat advisory in effect. Extra precautions were taken to keep the dogs cool. Wednesday morning the weather was much the same, but the high temps were only going to be in the 80s and there was more wind.

Here is how things turned out for the 5th Series …

58 dogs were sent from the line in this series, taking a total of 14 hours and 19 minutes, which averages out to be just under 15 minutes per dog.

We will be moving on to the 6th Series shortly here at the same location! Callbacks to come here - we will post them on the blog as soon as we have them!
