9th Series Test Description - Land/Water Quad

9th Series Test Description
22 dog/handler teams will start the 9th Series

Land/Water Quad with 2 Retired Guns and 2 Flyers and an Honor
Series 9 is located at the Kongsore Property. The mat is on mound facing Southeast. A road runs through the test left to right about 20 yards in front of the mount with the mat. Past the road is a flat grassy field that spreads out and is dotted with hay bales and strips of heavy cover.

There is a pond to the handlers right, as well as one straight ahead with a single large tree in between them. To the left there is a road and a hill.

There are 2 Retired Gun Stations and 2 Flyer Stations. There is an honor after all four birds have been retrieved.

Bird # 1 (LR) is a dead bird station with a Drake Duck. The gunners shoot and then throw the Duck from Right to Left landing approximately 415 yards in front of the mat. The gunners then retire. There is a pond 2/3 of the way out that the dog will cross on their way to this bird. We will refer to this bird as LR for Long Retired.

Bird # 2 (LF) is a simulated Flyer gun station located to the handlers far left. The gunners will throw and then shoot the Hen Duck from Right to Left. This bird will land approximately 225 yards from the line on the far left side of the field. There is a pond close to the gunners that the dog must cross on their way to this bird. We will refer to this bird as LF for Left Flyer.

Bird # 3 (SR) is a Hen Pheasant. This dead bird station is located between Bird #1 and Bird #2 about 140 yards from the mat. The gunners will throw the bird over a hay bale from Right to Left. These gunners will then retire. The guns, bale and bird are all located in front of a long strip of heavy cover. We will refer to this bird as SR for Short Retired.

Bird # 4 (RF) is a Rooster Flyer. This gun station throws and then shoots their Rooster from Left to Right landing approximately 110 yards from the mat. We will refer to this bird as RF for Right Flyer.

There is an Honor at the end of the test.

This test will take approximately 9-12 minutes per dog to complete.

Dog #17 will Start this Series

**ANNOUNCEMENT**

The 9th Series was started, but it was decided that changes to the test needed to be made. We will begin reporting once we have the final changes to the test, and the dogs start running again. Thanks!
