1st & 2nd Series Test Dogs

First test dog up was Gauge and handler Julie Cole ... Gauge came to the line at 6:35 am

Flyer (F) - Down the hill - ran the mowed strip of grass and went directly to the bird.

Left Retired (LR) -  *bird lands just beyond the channel on dry land*
Dog went out and around the water to the right - wide right going out to the far trees - turned back in and missed it - hunted very deep and wide right- dog was handled back in to the area. Had a hard hunt but got it.

Blind (B) - Out into the 1st piece of water - over the tip of the point - 1st whistle beyond the point - 2 more to get out of the water - quite a few whistles and he got deep to where the blind planter is - several more whistles brought him back to the brush and the bird.

This took 11.5 minutes to complete

Next test dog up was Valley with handler Joel Bodenman .... Valley came to the line at 6:54 am

Flyer (F) - Straight to the fall area and her bird.

Left Retired (LR) - Down the hill and across the water - across the field - across the ditch and hunted deep left - stayed deep and worked it out until she got her bird

Blind (B) - Down the hill and had her 1st whistle to get past the point - 2 more to cross the channel - 1 at the bird.

This took 7.5 minutes to complete


This test is taking approximately 7-11 minutes per dog to complete.
