3rd Series Test Description
71 dog/handler teams will start the 3rd Series this morning
Water Triple
Test 3 is a water triple, shot middle, right and then left. The mat is on top of a mound facing South East. The terrain has multiple piece of technical water and varying degrees of cover height with different grasses and bushes.
Bird # 1 (M) is up the middle of the test at the far end of the field. The gunners will come out and shoot and then throw a Drake Duck to the Right. This bird appears to land Right of a row of cover between the water and a mound. The bird lands approximately 230 yards from the line. We will refer to this bird as M for Middle.
Bird # 2 (RR) is a gun station located to the Right of the water at a distance of 195 yards. These gunners come out to shoot and then throw a Hen Duck from Right to Left, landing at the back side of a pond. These gunners then retire. We will refer to this bird as RR for Right Retired.
These 2 long birds are pinched. (Birds #1 and #2)
Bird # 3 (F) is a Flyer gun station located to the handlers Left. The thrower and gunners stand up and throw and then shoot a Drake Flyer from the Right to the Left, landing close to the water approximately 130 yards from the line. We will refer to this bird as F for Flyer.
This test will take approximately 9 minutes per dog to complete.
